Review:

As we make our approach toward the end of what has proven to be one hell of a run, I find myself feeling excited and eager and yet, despite having enjoyed all of No. 1 With A Bullet, I feel at a loss and am already yearning for more of something that I know I will not get. But that’s enough about me…next issue marks the end of this riveting, edge-of-your-seat series; the ride thus far has been incredible, and Issue #5 keeps the story moving, at an exciting pace, toward what promises to be an epic conclusion.

For some time, readers have been wondering who Nash’s No. 1 is, and here, in Issue #5, the truth, or at least some of it, finally rises to the surface; here, the No. 1 With A Bullet story takes an interesting turn that’ll leave readers eagerly awaiting this story’s conclusion while teetering on the edges of their seats.

No. 1 With A Bullet #5 showcases Jacob Semahn’s excellent sense of pacing and plot progression while also highlighting his ability to weave a multi-layered web that excites readers while simultaneously ensnaring them. Jorge Corona’s work in this issue is some of his best; each and every panel packed onto the pages of No. 1 With A Bullet #5 pops with energy and excitement. Dark scenes are abysmal and high-energy ones are electrifying. This book looks and feels amazing; if Jacob and Jorge plan on outdoing themselves, well, they are going to have some serious work to do.

The Bottom Line:

No. 1 With A Bullet #5 is another stunning addition to a series that has been consistently well-written and illustrated. The energy levels are quite high as we approach the end of the series. Prepare for an epic conclusion folks.
