The hacking off of limbs, the disfiguring of faces and the stealing of castle towers are just a few of the entertainments in store for the readers of this issue. Extremity is unrepentant about its use of violence. It fuels a tragic story that is also surprisingly introspective. The have and have-nots do battle in a warped space that is almost Shakespearean in its intrigues and depth. Mutant animals and ancient tech abound and all the remnants of the clan can do to survive is scavenge. In other words, a good time to be had by all.

We have the ongoing struggle to survive, the unwilling and sensitive heir apparent and a vengeful Queen’s retaliation to look forward to in the upcoming episodes.

The world building is brilliant. The story is compelling. The characters are interesting and three dimensional. This is a gritty and action packed space opera with a more than the usual gore. It is full of detailed and provocative artwork and has a story that is well written and compelling. The world building is brilliant. The story is compelling.
